Sea’s…a career.

Selecting a career path is challenging and exciting, as there is so much to consider.

A good start is to ask some questions based on your interests and talents:

  • Do you have a love for travel?
  • Do you enjoy working with people from different places and cultures?
  • Do you enjoy responsibility and challenge?
  • Do you have good analytical and practical skills?
  • Do you enjoy seizing ever-changing opportunities?
  • Do you want a lifetime career?

If the answers are “YES”, a career at sea is for perfect you.

Entering the shipping industry is more than just getting a job. The demands are exciting, and the rewards are priceless. Few accomplishments in life can measure up to the thrill of taking control of a huge container ship or tanker, or the delight of visiting so many new places.

Plus you can start earning from the very first day – no student debt or loans to worry about, just some hard work and a chance to see the world.

So, if you want new challenges, there is a whole world over the horizon. Be a part of it!

Is the sea a career for the future?

Shipping is going through tremendous change, and people of all nationalities are in real demand.

Ships, and the people operating them make the world work.

Take a look around you, so much of what you take for granted arrived by ship. Ipods, Playstation 3, trainers, bikes, tonnes of food and even some of the materials used to construct the building you are sitting, and probably even your chair too!

World trade exists because of shipping – so be a part of the industry that shapes everybody’s everyday.

What can I do at sea?

Huge opportunities exist in shipping, and you can use many different types of skills at sea – do you want to be a navigator? An engineer? An electrician? You can choose and forge your own pathway.

You can work on many different types of ships, from glamorous cruise ships, to small offshore supply vessels.

You can choose where you work, and for how long. Do you want to go “deep sea”? Spanning the vast oceans for months, or working off the coast for a few weeks at a time? There is a world of choice.

Sea’s…a life, a job, a skill, the future!
